DD was invited to Discovery Day at UAH. We went, and I was impressed. Well run, well done, I think we all left with a very favorable impression -and not just because they gave us hockey tickets :-).
There’s another one coming up. If a person was on the fence, it’s worth attending, I think.
We were very impressed as well. We had driven from the Atlanta airport the night before, and got in late. I was exhausted and didn’t want to wait until 2:30 for the tour of Frank Franz honors dorm. One of the UAH administrators gave us a private tour, and couldn’t have been more helpful.
The whole event was well organized. The lunch was a nice touch too.
A followup.
Our first college visit was to UAH and was a year ago this month, her second UAH visit was 5 1/2 months ago.
In between there were several visits to other schools, about two thousand emails, and 60 pounds of shiny brochures.
Whatever they did made a lasting impression - DD signed up for orientation (hooray!)
