Discrepancy in ACT and SAT scores

I am a rising senior, applying ED to Rice.
I have a question about my SAT and ACT scores. I need help on what I should do regarding both of the scores. I feel like my ACT is MUCH better than my SAT.

My ACT plus writing is 34 composite, pretty good sub scores too.
My best SAT is 2110, 2130 superscored. My subject tests are all good (all 750+)
Math - 720
CR - 700
Writing - 710

So what I want to ask is if I should take the SAT again, with hopes of breaking 2200 in October. I feel like my SAT is not up to par with my ACT score.
Is it worth it, or should I just submit my ACT? I have a lingering feeling that colleges would prefer SAT over ACT.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Why in the world would you take the SAT to HOPE to get it up to your ACT level when your ACT is already complete? ALL SCHOOLS WILL ACCEPT THE ACT. Take a Saturday morning off.

What Erin’s Dad said–me, too. Word for word.

Thanks for the help guys. So it won’t look bad if I only submit the ACT?

They don’t care about which test you send.

Dude, you really don’t want to believe what you’re being told, do you?

No, it will not look bad if you submit only the ACT.

I just hear a lot of differing opinions from my family, I hope that this will shut them up :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks to all!

Oh…family. Usually they mean well. But sometimes they don’t realize that the whole college-admissions landscape has changed dramatically in the last 25 or 30 years.

I know where you’re coming from - I took the SAT, made a 2360, then took the ACT, made 35 with my lowest sub-score being 34. I wasn’t sure whether or not to retake my ACT, because it wasn’t exactly up to par with my SAT score (I knew I could’ve made a perfect score. I was one question away from a 36) but I figured it was a waste of time because I had other things to focus on (namely Subject Tests).

Basically what I’m saying is, there’s absolutely no need for you to retake the SAT.

@sikorsky yeah, that’s what I’m trying to show them, that nowadays the ACT is weighted equally as the SAT. They don’t seem to want to believe that though, lol.
Thanks lemon, too. I wish I had your SAT score though!
