I still need discrete mathematics, multivariable calc, and differential equations. My academic advisor is recommending I take discrete mathematics, physics, and CS 3 next quarter. I have room for one more class. Can anyone think of any problems that might arise from taking discrete mathematics and multivariable calc or diff eq at the same time?

i am taking discrete math and diff eq next semester together, should be fine given they are very different topics

I can’t forsee any problems. I think you’d be fine to do that. I took discrete math, classical mechanics (more advanced than the intro sequence) and diff. eq. in the same semester and did alright (I was also taking a class in logic circuits and a history).

that actually sounds a lot like my semester, diff eq, discrete math, intro to digital logic, E&M, and matlab/c++ class

discrete and diffeq will be fine

Fury, that sounds A LOT like my semester, diff eq, discrete math, intro to digital logic, E&M, Intro to Electric Circuits, Functional Programming, and C and Unix Tools

Should be a breeze ;)

Did linear algebra, vector calc, diff eq’s and thermo/optics last quarter. My grades were good but it was pretty exhausting… wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you really had to.
