Hi everyone,
I am a freshman at Penn State University. I still have not decided what I will major in college. However.,I put a list of some majors that I liked and think that I would enjoy doing them. The list I put is ( Finance, Supply chain management, economics, management).
I thought that sharing what Enjoy doing and what I do not enjoy would help you guys get a better idea on what major will beat suit me.
I consider myself to be good at math and Memorization. However, I do not like to deal with machines or physics, which I heard is essential in SCM major.
I also
I am also have good management, leadership, and communication skills,
I took a statistics class last semester and I really enjoyed it. I enjoy planning and organizing what I will do in the next days. I also like taking risks when making decisions, multitasking, dealing with numbers, analyzing the efficiency of what I do in everyday-life, and solving problems.
I think that you should take SCM off your list and focus on Economics, Finance, and Management.
You know what might help your decision? Start thinking about the jobs you could see yourself in. Do you see yourself working for the federal reserve, or perhaps for an insurance company as a risk manager, or maybe a financial analyst in a big bank?
Job outlook isn’t great for it. Supply chain is kind of a specific degree too. Sure you can apply it to other aspects of business, but you might find yourself competing for jobs with people whose degrees are more relevant.
