Do we attend the discussion clases on the first day of school? My thursday is all discussion so what do I do?

If you didn’t get an email or some notice telling you that your class it’s cancelled, just go. Check iLearn

You will have an extra day off tomorrow. Generally, discussion classes during week 0 are cancelled. I have never had to attend discussions during week 0.

Usually the more 1337 classes will have discussion on the first week. Kiddie classes won’t

:P

jk lol. It can be hard to tell… actually

What is there to discuss when neither the TAs nor the students have attended lecture yet?

Yup Whiteclock, upper division courses and honors thesis seminars are kiddie courses. ;)

Thanks guys I am just gonna attend class and if I dont have to go…more sleep! =)

Discussion instructors generally don’t mind if you don’t attend the 0 week discussions since there is nothing to discuss. If you don’t get a notice that it’s cancelled, that means the instructor will be there for anyone that shows up.

I remember waking up at 6:30 am for a 7 o’clock discussion class last fall… the TA didn’t show up, and hadn’t sent us advance notice that there was no discussion

I hated him for the rest of the quarter.
