<p>They go over homework problems. Sometimes the professor has the TA’s give quizzes. A lot of people don’t show up (for math at least).</p>
<p>Pretty much every class has a discussion class, not just chem and math.</p>
<p>theyre taught by grad student TAs. most of the time in math and chem, they’ll just go over that week’s lectures and answer any questions people have. a lot of people don’t go, but if you don’t completely understand the lectures, they can be really helpful.</p>
<p>And in humanities, you usually actually discuss stuff. Led by a TA.</p>
