Some of the other schools (such as Wesleyan) have special forums for admits through their web sites. Does Brown have one?

If not, I think we should urge them to create one. It’s a great opportunity to get to know other students. At Wesleyan, my sister met many of the people she had previously spoken with on the forum.

I'm thinking of emailing the webmasters, admissions officers or people in charge of student life, but they probably won't do anything about it. They seem too bogged down with other work right now. I mean, they haven't even organized the regular applications enough to inform people whether or not they have received teacher recommendations.

it would be awesome though, if all the different forums (like cc, livejournal, myspace, xanga, etc) could condense somewhere, and all the future brunonians could meet each other!

I don't know about any of you, but I would like to meet most of my classmates in person for the first time...it feels more natural. There aren't any expectations, either.

I can understand that, but I figure the best thing to do is to meet as many people as possible in as many different ways as possible. The more people I know when I get to Brown, the more fun it will be and the more comfortable I'll feel at the school.
