if i get 3's and 4's on my AP tests and i'm applying to colleges of high caliber (MIT) will it hurt my chances? i thought the whole point of AP scores was to give the student college credit or not. so will these scores work against me?

Ewwwwwww, that's the most disgusting thing I ever heard. A kid with 3's in AP's thinking of going to MIT. Makes me barf.

Just kidding. Don't worry about it, just do well in school.

i dont know anything

but according to what i have read...

just think about your passion, interest, and dreams/goals of your life.

a bigger problem will be taking the class without submitting scores. and even then it's tenuous.

3's and 4's aren't that bad. 4 is enough for course credit at most schools; 3 is too, at many. I would tell them about them. no test is worse than an imperfect test.

you will have to think about the other side. Some people who apply to competitive schools do not even take APs...

yes, it can hurt you. a lot? no.

multiple 3s may hurt you

but 4s are a very good score, even for MIT

i dont think it'll hurt you. 4s are good, but 3 is still considered passing at many schools. maybe college reps have told me that ap tests can only help you, but wont hurt you. don't worry about it, i mean, you cant change yoru scores at this point... just keep up the good work and you'll be fine.

Doesn't hurt you. I would worry more about your grades, board scores, and BS factors like essays.

Scores on AP tests help colleges see how difficult classes at your school are....so if you don't have a's in your classes then it will proably hurt you.

But don't worry, other things...GPA, SATs, essays, and EC's are much more important. It shouldn't hurt your chances much if you have other outstanding qualities.

thanks for all the input. soooooooooooooooo... how would a 2 on AP Spansih Language look :)

by the way, i didn't report that score, however, my school puts all my test scores on the transcript

...
