Dismal SatII's- Early decision anyone?

Anyone know anything about Princeton's policy on SAT II's? I am a recruited athlete (wrestling) with pretty high SAT I's and a #3 class rank, but i found out today that i didnt even break 700 on any of the sat iis that i crammed for.

lit-630
math i- 670
ushistory- 680

anyone else applying with sub 700s?
anyone know if this can destroy my chances?

recruited athlete...well that will probably let you by pass your low scores. I had 690 Physics, 680 IIC and 640 WR last year, non-recruit intel, unhooked and naturally got rejected. If ur AP scores are okay then it should be fine. Your rank is also good.

good luck.

-S.P

take the Nov SAT and apply early decision anyway...dont apply with sub700

All my SAT IIs are 750+ and then Spanish comes in and ruins me. (650)
How badly are my chances hurt? (sorry for using your thread)

You can take the November 5 test if you're applying ED; we called and asked. Just write on your app that you'll be taking them--where it lists for test scores, it says "Taken/will take."

what if I sent my application in already? Will they still get the scores?

dont worry man
Im a recruited athlete too with 650,650,620. If you are one of the coaches top 1 or 2, then you are fine, quit worrying. Princeton needs athletes as much as they need insane bookworms.

what sport?

If you’re not URM, mid-600’s won’t cut it.

hes obviously a troll, i doubt hes a recruited athlete

probably trying to give athletes a bad name

A troll? I thought u were on my side man, the only one on this whole board. I speak the truth though, even though the truth doesn't satisfy many of you. Why would my coach be talking to me if he didn't think I could get in? In the sport I am recruited for, all of us are at the same academic level. Matt, man, mid-600's wont hurt you if the coach really really wants you, like top 1 to 3. If you are sort of in his doghouse, then they hurt. Face it, do you think every football player or lacrosse player has 750 SAT? In the senior class last year at my school 12 kids applied Princeton early and the only 2 that got in were recruited athletes, so go figure. Once we get here, were probably not going to socialize with any other people on this website, so don't even listen to what they have to say. They are too afriad of hurting peoples feelings to be honest. And its the truth that we have better chances of getting in ED than 75 percent of everone here, and it makes them mad. Tough s**t.

Hey Matt630...

Ever heard the saying, "Give him enough rope to hang himself"? :-)

I'd believe him. My uncle was a recruited athlete for Princeton, and he told me that then there was barely even a limit on how low scores could be and they'd still take an athlete--I'm sure now there are some standards, but they aren't too difficult to surpass. If a coach really wants a kid, he'll usually get them; sorry guys. That's life.

it does depend on what sport, also adcoms, at least from my talks with some of my friends who are recruited athletes, tend to take the recruits witht he higher scores. :P

well im pysched cuz i bumped everything over 700 on the 5th :)

i guess we will have to see how everything works out

You should also check out Brown matt. I knwo they are always trying to recruit Wrestlers and atheletes in general. It may just be a saftey school, but look into it.

brown for safety? :o

For me I have Cornell as a Saftey. I don't like the curriculum at Brown. I like some standard course load, not let's do anything we want. You get very slated students. But, that si my opinion.

brown has an orgasmic curriculum and a very awesome social scene. Princeton one-ups brown on everything however :)

So if there was one distinguishing feature that sets Princeton apart from any other school (besides the preceptorial system), what would you say it was?
