<p>My D will be a freshman in September and I was just wondering how many of the students at LMU visit Disneyland as a source of recreation? Is it too far or too difficult to get there, especially if you don't have a car? We are from out of state and D will not have a car. </p>

<p>I know there has been discussion on several other boards for other SoCal schools where the students do visit Disneyland quite often. If this is the case for LMU students I was thinking that it might be a fun graduation gift for my D (thanks for the thought from someone on another board!). </p>

<p>Any thoughts would be appreciated.</p>

Disneyland is definitely not far from LMU. I would say its about 45 minutes max? However, one thing about LA, and Southern California is general, is that there is hardly any concept of public transportation. Not having a car does make you a little handicapped, but I am sure your daughter will meet friends/roommates who have a car and can take her. </p>
