disorderly conduct

Hi, do disorderly conducts affect admissions/my chances of going to top colleges/getting a job in any way? I was arrested on suspicion (jogging at 3am), to which I resisted because of some natural reaction, and I was released later that day because they found no evidence. they let me off, charging me with disorderly conduct- I'm thinking of going to court to get rid of it, but if it doesn't affect my admissions too much, i'd rather not go through the ordeal

I live in Pennsylvania, if it matters at all

This probably is of no use to you (I'd help you if I knew) but why the heck were you jogging at 3 AM?

Even if it wouldn't affect college chances, it's better to have a clean record. Say you want to work for government someday and need a high security clearance--you better be squeaky clean (and I'm not saying like be a spy. the gov't needs scientists, economists, everything).

Better to not have a record. Especially if a similar situation happens again. If you already have a record you won't get off as easily.

i have frequent sleeping problems- usually I jog around my backyard, but some times I jog around my neighborhood, which is where I was caught

You should probably just tell them what you were doing. As long as you weren't making a ton of noise or there is a strict curfew, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to get rid of it.

Wow I can not believe that happened to you that really sucks. Try to get rid of it.

i run around 3 all the time, its really peaceful and i like the cool night runs the best. ive been pulled over by the police a couple of times and theyve just told me that its dangerous and that i shouldnt do it but ive never been arrested...that really sucks dude...sorry to hear it
