where in the passage was it explicitly stated that “the war probably did happen because there’s no evidence that something else happened in the meantime”? Plus, the tone of the author was against the existence of the wars.</p>

<p>If you reread the last paragraph, he was only conceding a minor point at the end. The entire first half of the last paragraph was arguing against the war’s existence. edit: as well as the rest of the passage lol. (I got this wrong)</p>

<p>I can’t remember what I put for the mammals. But the emphatic/balanced one is a no-brainer if you actually read the question – no way is it balanced. I remember crystal-clear that it referred to Passage 1.</p>
