I think i spent too much time here and is being messed up in the brain out of exhaustion but… the trojan question was the last question in the section was it? And the probably answer was choice E?

Most surely it was inevitable, after all, it did say surely.

Inevitable ftw.

Undesirable and emphatic aren’t even debatable. Frankly, I’m a little bemused as to why so many people got those wrong. They seem like questions that CollegeBoard would assign 2 or 3 to for level of difficulty rather than 4 or 5.

there was a question about “had issued” and something about a parking lot? …
I put that as the wrong answer, since both actions would be in the past tense (as opposed to the past perfect of had issued). opnions?

Where’s Silverturtle when you need him?

NE, probably did, emphatic, Indeed, undesirable

@duckBlase

Can you recreate the question?

@XRCatD

Yes, for the win!

Mammals NE: 15
Mammals E: 6

Trojan War did happen: 14
Trojan War didn’t happen: 9

Indeed: 6
By comparison:0

What was the indeed/by comparison question?

^ It was on writing with the fruit passage.

Something like:

The organic fruit is more expensive than the conventinal fruit. [Indeed] organic fruit costs 40% more.

By comparison makes no sense btw.

by comparison here. Indeed doesn’t do anything while by comparison serves a good purpose.
also, trojan war happened is what i put.

Isn’t “By comparison” comparing the cost of the organic fruits versus the price of the commercially grown? And you’re leaving out crucial information, the ‘commercially grown fruit’ was included in that sentence, you can’t just take it out to fit your argument.

Exactly. There wasn’t enough context in the previous sentence for you to just say “organic fruit costs 40 percent more without knowing what more is referring to.”

Shoot me, I think I put indeed like an idiot. The writing section was way too easy I was kind of lax and didn’t pay too much attention to it. Did you guys believe question #20, “could of”. I spent like ~3-4 min. on that question trying to see if it was a trick question, I just couldn’t believe they (collegeboard) would put that kind of question on an actual exam.

^Srry I meant to say I think i put by comparison…and everyone says its indeed. ■■■

loooooool. Just because the majority of people agree that an answer is correct doesn’t mean it is. If you think about the purpose of indeed, you will find that there is no point in it? You cannot just state something with indeed without having enough context clues in the sentence before.

I’m not claiming that “By comparison” is the right answer with 100% certainty.

But it’s ignorant to claim that an “answer is right without a doubt, the other answer makes no sense, and I’m shocked anyone would have put anything else.” Furthermore, you’re losing your credibility by leaving out crucial information while trying to sway the sentence to fit your answer.

^Not when the majority of the people are uber genuises who score 2300+.

@ApTester

The organic fruit is more expensive than the commercially grown fruit. [Indeed] organic fruit costs 40% more than the commercially grown fruit.

Still makes no sense with “by comparison”

This question isn’t debatable

somebody go confirm the answer with silverturtle haha
