rec letters will be very good
essays pretty good i think. very personal
oh, senior courses:
1) ap calculus bc
2) ap chem
3) ap govt/ economics(regular class not ap)
4) ap english lit
5) Physics HP
6) orchestra

7 aps in total (11-12).
got 4 on bio, 3 on apush, 2 on eng lang and comp (last year)

i think that's it. if you need any other info, please leave me a comment.
thankss

p.s. usc is my dream school :[ hope i get in..

lol, "proficient at the Internet"
WELL I WOULD HOPE SO!

I'd say you have a good shot. Only weakness is AP scores (don't mattter much anyway), but everything else seems solid.

do you go to troy?

no i dont. i go to oxford, if you know where that is. but i know ppl from troy! :]

bluebeard: i was going to ask that question. :)

oh i know a couple of people who went to oxford. well i have friends of friends who went there. i'm really excited to see everyone next year at usc--provided we're all accepted. crosses fingers

I don't know what you're talking about when referring to those people with insane stats because what you have listed looks really good to me...

:) yay? haha. hoping for the best cross fingers

hey! i remember that u sent me ur UC ages a few weeks ago.. are u using them for USC? if so i can sent them my edited version along with my opinions.

ur stats look good! how are ur senior year grades

yea i remember sending you haha.
oh i sent everything in, so i wont need them anymore :) thanks though.

my senior grades are 'eh..' its not fabulous. i have 4 ap classes, one physics hp, and one orchestra (4 years) total of 6 classes. but i think im going to end up with 3 bs and 3 as. Bs in eng, govt, and physics. and As in math orch and chem. im doing my best but physics is not my thing.. haha. well, it's still 4.3? or something like that so im hoping it will be okay. :[ im actually worrying about my senior gpa now. ahh. what do you think? would it be bad to have 3 Bs? :[

how's your senior year going? what's your dream school? :)

No, 3 B's aren't bad.. that was my grade junior yaer.. I took the hardest courses possible, as you are doing this year.

We have a lot in common! I came to America at the age of 10. We have the same weighted GPA, your unweighted is a little bit higher. My SAT I's lower than yours.. I have 1900 :( SATII's and EC's are also very similar. (peer tutoring, etc)

Currently i have,

AP Euro - A
AP English - B
AP Stats - B
Hon Physics - A
Chamber Orch - A (4 years too, just like you :))
Int'l Business - A

I'm not doing too swell either.. but colleges will understand that it's a busy time with colleges app's and many changes.. if we can keep 3 B's or less, it won't cast a bad impression on them. Also, I believe sending senior midyear reports are optional.. unless USC sends you a specific request for it.

My dream school is probably USC as well.. UCLA is my 2nd choice b/c it's proably harder for me to get in since I'm out of state and some-what below average. I love USC's student-faculty ratio of 15 to 1, and the Trojan family connections are AMAZING!

really?! o.O i thought it was required. hm,weird. we should makes sure if you are right. I think they will want it even if it's not required tho.

well, you are doing way better than me :) goood job

I'm going to mail it to them anyways just in case.. I think you should too.

don't sweat, your overall stats are better than mine! good luck, hope to see you at USC next year :)

Last year there was an online submission form for midyear reports, so you might not have to mail it.

And yes, conf, it's optional unless they mail you a request.

How does the online submission work?

USC: Match

stressed0out: My vague recollection is that someone on CC got their request in the mail from USC. In the letter there was a link to where you can submit the grades online. The CC User posted that link and I went to it.

Has anyone received their midyear request yet? I dunno, but if you are curious you can start a new thread and ask. Or, alternatively, you can search through last years threads to get more information,

woah it's optional? o_O omg! wow. wow.
so unless they request it, we do NOT send it?
or is it one of those "oh let's see if this student is interested in my school or not" thing? (which would mean i have to send it anyway)

hm, we should go and ask the counselors about the online submission :)

Well, you can still send it if you want to, and if you have good grades you might as well...
