Disregarding sent SAT scores?

I had sent my SAT scores to 4 colleges my junior year of high school, but after taking the ACT, I realized that I did much better on my ACT than my SAT. Is there any way I can have the colleges consider only my ACT instead of the SAT scores I already sent them?

I’m not sure what schools you sent them to, but most schools usually just consider your top score between the two.

Would I maybe be able to e-mail the colleges to have them disregard the SAT scores?
And just to double check, the scores I sent count even though I sent them a year before actually applying, right?

You definitely should not email them to request that they “disregard” the test. They have their own procedures. Universally colleges will look at both scores and then use that one they believe is the higher to determine admission.

The earlier scores are in their possession and will be matched with your application file when you apply.

Thanks so much :)
