Right now I'm living in Bowles (which I didn't even request), and I am ready to pack everything and leave. I think it's too loud; everyone on my floor parties a lot, and I'm not exactly a party guy. My roommates aren't jerks or anything; I just want the privilege to sleep and study at whatever time that fits my schedule.

Does anyone in Unit 1, Unit 2, or Unit 3 Beverly Cleary 3rd floor want to switch with me? Also, is it possible to switch room assignments with someone specifically? I'm willing to take a triple, as long as your roommates won't keep me up until 2-3 am. By the way, I live in the special middle room that's almost the size of a Clark Kerr Double of the additional window space.

Units 1-3 residents have had an established reputation for being loud and social, so I doubt the situation would be better there. Worth a try, though.

Reputation may be that the residents are loud and social, but it varies greatly by room, building, and floor. The mini suites are less social than the older buildings, certains floors love themselves and spend time together, whereas others are fairly dead. It depends, really. I'm sure some foothill suites are loud, for instance.

Generalization such as "Student" result in an inaccurate perception of the Units.

Different floor have different people living on them resulting in a different dynamic. I've visited many floors where the floor is dead quiet, everyone studying.

I've visited other floors where doors are open, people are hopping around room, strumming guitars in the middle of the hall way with people singing along, etc.

And on my own floor, there exists a happy medium between the two.
