Distance between classes

I just checked my schedule and each of the three consecutive classes I have take place in three separate buildings that are about 10 minutes away from each other! The time I have to move from one class to another is approximately 15 minutes... but it still seems like a very tight schedule. Is it like this for everyone, since the NYU "campus" is so spread out?

the biggest pain for me by far was getting from the Silver center to the building on Mercer street - the major problem was that my class in Silver was on the 8th floor and the teacher always let us out late, so waiting for an elevator was a pain, and every once in a while the stairs would get backed up. I ended up just bolting right out of class once it was over, and some days just sprinting to my next class. The elevators at NYU suck- getting to the different buildings isn't what takes time, it's waiting for those elevators (that stop on every floor because people don't listen), and getting stuck at the stairs.
Next time when you pick your classes, take the buildings into account- that's what I did second semester and it made life a lot easier.

Wow. If it's that difficult going from the Silver Center to Mercer Street, isn't moving from 145 Fourth Avenue to 19 University Place next to impossible? I'm worried.

I have the same exact problem! I have three consecutive classes, first by washington square park, then 145 Fourth Avenue, and last by washington square park. I'm not even so concerned about the distance between the buildings as I am actually getting out of the building. I hope that professors will be understanding. Are you taking a french class?

Yep... I hope that building doesn't get too crowded. I mean, it can't be worse than the ones where all the big intro/MAP courses are, can it? :(

I'm sure professors will be understanding if you sprint in because you have a class far away; now if you dawdle in late eating a big mac then not so much.

I'm glad all my classes are in kimmel or silver, which are so close.

To the OP: 19 University Place really isn't that crowded. It only has a few floors to it. What room are you in at 19UP? -- it may even be on the ground floor.

You'll be okay. This isn't high school anymore. Your professors don't care if you come in a few minutes late. Just be quiet and don't interrupt. Half of your professors will even show up late. Don't be so worried =)

Where is building 194M?

194 mercer street. right across from coles if i remember corectly.

Thanks. What about 5 WP? Is that Waverly Place?

Nope - 5 Washington Place.
