Distance Learning - Common Application

Hi

I am studying trough a british distance learning school.
How should i complete the '' school forms'' .
I registred saying that im in a private school (because i guess that is what it is).
But, my school doesnt have councelor, so how should i fill it?

I thought about having my last year teacher do my recommendation, since i barely know the new one.
But who will be my "councelor" ?

Thanks

look at the next thread down…

I read it. But it did not answer my question. I actually read the last 20

Fill it out as if you are a homeschooler.

Your parent will be your “homeschool supervisor” as the Homeschool Supplement to the Common App suggests. They will fill also out the Secondary School Report in lieu of a high school counselor. In that they can explain your somewhat hybrid situation. There are also places on the Homeschool Supplement to the Common App where these issues can be addressed. Adapt the forms to suit your situation. Have transcripts sent from your distance learning school to all the colleges to which you’re applying.

But if i do that, if i apply as a Homeschooler, wont I have to do the AP (i think its called that, the one from the college board about subjects?)
I am in a british online school and i am doing A levels.

SAT IIs are what you are thinking of, also SAT I. You need to contact schools and ask them what they want to see from you, given your set of circumstances. Are you not in this country? and will be applying as an international?

I am going to do the SAT I, and SAT II math and spanish this month and the next .
But yeah, im gonna register as a Home Schooler.

Thank you

When it says: Counselor’s name, who should i put?
The name of my mother or of the “Student Advisory Service” from my distance laerning school?

You will have your SAT and your SAT Subject Tests sent by the CollegeBoard directly to the colleges. You can do this from the College Board website. That is the same regardless of whether an applicant is a traditional student, a homeschooler, or a hybrid like yourself.

You parent’s name will be what you list as “counselor’s name” – this is how the Common App suggests it be done for homeschoolers. It’s all in the instructions.
