For those who either graduated with honors or knew those who did, does the honor notation show up on the diploma?

bump i’m also interested.

I think so, but why would you need it on your diploma? Don’t you just want it on your transcript or something so you can say it in your resume?

The office wall.

can any graduates confirm this? lol

Can someone explain to me the honors system and what not in L&S. This website is a little bit vague:[College Policies-Honors](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/collegepolicies/honors.html)

So you can get “Honors to date” on your transcript if your GPA is above 3.703? Is that accumulative or anything or for just one semester? Like it only appears for the semester in which you get above a 3.703 or what? And as for the Distinction in General Scholarship at Graduation, your overall GPA needs to be over a 3.703 as well overall? What GPA are they talking about? Do you get anything special if you get “Distinction”? For example, recognition during the ceremony, a special chord to wear during graduation, recognition on your transcript/diploma, or whatever.

lmao wow ahhh

swishshooter25,
Yes, it shows up on the very bottom of your diploma.

J01001000,
Yes, it shows up on your online transcript as well, but you want it on your diploma because you lose access to Bearfacts 11 months after you graduate. Of course, you can get a paper transcript, but that **** costs ~$20.

stevenboi27,
Only the last question is unanswered on the website; read it more carefully. What you get for having Distinctions depends on your department. Some departments give out sashes and verbally praise you, others give nothing.

If you get honors, as you get your diploma they will ruffle your hair, give you a pat on the shoulder, and say “Attaboy!”
