Distinctive Student Application?

I received a distinctive student application from Mills today. On top of a fee waiver and a streamlined application (no personal statement, for instance), the letter sent to me promises priority for scholarships and an accelerated/prioritized admissions process. Did anyone else get this? Does anyone know what the criteria is to be deemed a "distinctive student"? I was curious about Mills anyway and I'll probably apply now, but I can't help but feel a bit skeptical about this type of mail. Thanks!

I got this app and am doing it as I was already interested in Mills. I’m well above Mill’s SATs, but several of my friends who are below their scores got it as well…it may just be a marketing thing. Still, its free and has only one essay, so if you’re interested in Mills it makes sense to apply:)

I completed the Distinctive Student app, turned it in Nov. 1, and received my acceptance and merit-scholarship today. I thought it was worth it-- what ended up happening with your application? I only got 16,000 merit aid and I definitely can’t afford it with just that, so I probably won’t go unless I get some serious need-based aid. Anyone else hear back?

Yep I Got my acceptance packet from Mills today. Got in for nursing!
