Distinguishing Quality and Outcomes of Education from Selectivity/Incoming Stats

I think that this is really very simple. The people determine the outcomes, not the schools that they attend. </p>

<p>Quality In = Quality Out</p>

<p>If you want to be around lots of other, high achieving students, then selectivity is extremely important. But lots of folks coming from less heralded colleges have succeeded big-time. </p>

<p>As for “quality of education” what do you mean by this? What do you think connotes a high quality education?

<p>This is misnomer. Both person and education define the success.</p>

<p>For a bad college (I’m not sure how to define one)</p>

<p>Garbage In => Garbage Out
Quality In => Average Out</p>

<p>For an outstanding college (Again the definition still need to be defined)
Quality In => Quality Out
Garbage In => Average Out</p>
