If usually can't focus and concentrate when "distracted" then should you practice with them to get better at ignoring them? The thing is that my neighbors are VERY noisy and they have kids who scream everyday, all day. What should I do during that period of time? I'm having a hard time ** really** focusing on SAT prep but I think I should train myself to adapt to these distractions. You never know when they pop up on test day right?

ask your neighbors to stop being so noisy. they arent the only ones living on your street so they should respect their neighbors as well. you wont have screaming kids in your test room, so you dont want them to harm your prep. plus, why waste your time practicing to handle distractions?

have you tried waking up really really early in the morning and having some peace and quiet then? im sure those kids arent up and running around at 7 am

Or take it at the library. Honestly I just tough it out, I'm in the same situation as you. I guess you will be better prepared if you can sit through all that distraction.

You clearly underestimate little children.
