Distressed junior.

Hi all! I'm currently a junior in high school and I am choosing the classes I need for my senior year. I'm planning on attending SFSU to major in cinematography and minor in ethnic studies. I have a couple of inquiries. First, I'm unsure on whether I should take a math or a science next year. They aren't required, to graduate from my high school, it's 2 years of science and 3 years of math. From what I know, to get accepted into a CSU, it's 2 years required of science, 3 years recommended, 3 years of math but 4 years recommended. However, I'd rather take other classes such as video arts production and another ethnic studies class, since those are what I am planning on studying in college. Would it hurt my chances if I do not take those extra recommended years?

Also! During my freshman year, I received a "D" grade second semester of my honors biology class and to my knowledge, CSU's don't accept "D" grades. I was told that because it's my freshman year, and because it's an honors class which is supposed to weight that "D" as a "C", and that it's the only "D" on my transcript, that I shouldn't worry. Is this true or should I worry about getting accepted? Thanks again for any help!

grades do not “mean” anything. sounds like you really like mathematics ?? I highly recommend you do your own research. every school is "different and “unique” … look up some studies relevant to happiness; you’ll find that they oftentimes equate to “overall satisfaction”
