For Women's Cross Country, the NCAA allows Division 1 schools up to 18 Full Scholarships. However, because of funding restrictions, not all schools fund the entire 18 Full Scholarships...

What schools are offering scholarships and how many full scholarships do they fund?

For example:
Boston College: "X" full scholarships
Georgetown: "Y" full scholarships
Syracuse: "Z" full scholarships

Well it’s not really an endowment issue as much as a Track and Field budget issue. The 3 biggest track budgets in college sports are Arkansas, Oregon and Texas A&M. Also, OP, remember that those 18 scholarships are for the entire roster - freshmen through seniors. So in any given year maybe 4 or 5 scholarships are opening up. That’s why they tend to give a lot of partials in T&F / XC.

(ionbeam, if you were being sarcastic, sorry I didn’t pick up on it)

Don’t worry varska, I’m just a student still. From what I know from my swim coach (he swam @ Syracuse before the team was cut), it’s basically on a skill level basis. I truly believed it wouldn’t be hard to get a scholarship, but oh well.
