My son looked at Marist a few years ago, but decided to go elsewhere. My daughters would like to visit, intrigued by some things they read about it. I had heard and read that not only wasn't it a very diverse campus, that the students weren't very welcoming to URM's. We had also heard this from other colleges, re Lehigh, but it seemed to come up again and again with Marist in posts or conversations with parents. They were sometimes vague, but in a round-about-way would try to say that a certain type was common and if you didn't come from a white middle-class environment and drink, you wouldn't be happy.

I don't know how you find these things out yourself, short of staying for the day and gettng a feel of the campus, but does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? I found the percentage of URM's doesn't matter, it's the attitude of the students there. Thanks for any feedback.
