Diversity at Michigan and interracial dating??

Hi what's the diversity like at Michigan? Do the different races tend to self-segregrate or will there at least be some interaction?
Also, is interracial dating prevalent on campus or is it rare? Is there any form of interracial dating at all?
Just wondering, heh.. i'm Singaporean/Asian and going to Umich this fall

There is diversity at Michigan...but it is not as diverse as some schools in California or Texas.

Still, about 15%+ of undergraduate students are Asian American, 10% are African American, 5%+ are Hispanic American and 5% are international. In-staters make up 65% of the undergraduate student body, but when you have 24,000 undergrads, 35% stil amounts to 8,000 students, so you will have great representation from all 50 states.

Michigan is far more diverse at the graduate level. Roughly 25% of the graduate students are international.

As far as integration, Michigan is good, but it has a LONG way to go. But that is typical of most schools. Clearly, graduate students are far better integrated than undergrads.

I KNOW THIS SOUNDS COMPLETELY STUPID AND AIR HEADISH OF ME!..soo plz no one tell me after I ask this question..but if you dont mind answering..i was wondering...are there good looking guys at UM with great personalities?..lol...don't attack me!

I know education is really important but i already know its great there..so now i want to know about the social life..is it easy to meet ppl..ya know..fun ppl..

It's huge. If you're social, you'll know 2342423^2 people after your first semester.

If you're an introvert -- join a frat, club, etc -- because the large atmosphere doesn't otherwise force you to go out and meet people.

...and as for good looking guys with great personalities....

Sexy, desi, as moderator and adult presence in this forum, I should not dignifiy your question with a response, and since I am a guy myself, I really cannot ...but since I attended Michigan (I am a handsome devil!) and since there are roughly 20,000 men studying on campus, odds are, you will not have issues finding "good looking men with great personalities"!

ok thanks for answering!
