I am Native American ( a severely underepresented minority in colleges). I'm kind of hoping that will play into the decision making process. The only thing holding me back I guess would be my SAT/ACT scores, I didn't do so well. What do you guys think?

And also, my school doesnt weight GPA's, so whats the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA's?

PS-- This is the craziest website I have ever been to, I have never seen so many stressed out/anal kids with great GPA's, test scores, EC's. I think you all should just relax. I also thought it was hilarious that mom's are on this website too. What a world.

I hope you guys don't take any offense, I just think its kind of funny.

I have a 3.7 unweighted, but I take English/History AP classes. I go to a private college prep/jesuit high school though, so its defiantly not you're run of the mill public school.I do a lot of activities, I'm really involved in community service/church stuff.

My SAT score is to embarassing to post here, you guys would all make fun of me. :) I don't know I thought my essay was pretty good. I tried to be original because I'm sure they get essays on: grandparents, sports, mission trips all the time. So I wrote about defeating what I deemed the Native American stereotype. I also really pushed how hard I work in school, to make up for crappy SAT's.

I think I'm most worried about not getting enough scholarships or financial aid at all. I don't think I'm smart enough to get like a full/half ride and my family isnt exactlypoor either its just that 45,000 is a lot of money and my sister is in college too. Does anyone know if they offer good financial aid?

usc supposedly gives a fair amount of financial aid. i know people who have gotten decent financial aid packages, and they aren't necessarily poor. regarding the SAT, i think the mean/median are definitely above 2000, but of course people get in with scores below that.
