anyone else get this letter inviting you to come to the weekend? The date is the 18th of april, way past the day we get letters back. also, it said "The admissions committee is very impressed with your academic credentials and what you have to offer."

what does this mean?! free plane ride though. i think i'm gonna go.

I didn't get a letter, but I did get an email from a professor of mechanical engineering asking if I'd like to have a phone conversation with him about ME at Lehigh. When I talked to him on the phone he mentioned some sort of visit program on the 18th that he said I should come to, so I guess that's this.

I live in New Jersey. I don't know any details just that it's easter weekend and they send it so early cause they have to plan for travel and stuff. International? That's a big commute so I don't think you would get one.

well I talked to the lady in charge of arrangements and stuff for the program and she told me that they still hadn't made arrangements for the flights and stuff; that was last week. I guess they should start soon since the registration deadline was Friday March 20th.

Just got this in the mail today, and I’ll definitely be going! I wonder though… am I most likely going to be accepted now or is this letter pretty much sent to anyone with diversity and a decent application? How selective is this?

Would appreciate feedback from any past diversity week attendees or others that received the letter.

Yeah, I think you guys are right. Yay! After taking a look at Lehigh’s website, I noticed that the diversity weekend page is under the “admitted students” category.

My son got it and he was accepted two years ago. Last year he was part of the program helping around that weekend and they were told all the Diversity Weekends were accepted students. ;)

@reporter31 - Our D too got the letter today. Can we assume that a merit scholarship is/could be attached to this honor too? I would think we would have all the financial information before this weekend or at least by April 1st. We are on the West Coast, and I really don’t want Lehigh to fly our D out to PA and have her fall in love with Lehigh, to find out that it is just not in our budget. Any insight from past recipients? Thanks.

Suebinor–we got our financials in late that year because I had to do business returns too so we didn’t know those kids were accepted. He got the acceptance letter RD. But someone posted a picture that was taken at diversity weekend that said welcome accepted students. And we totally did not see it.
But to answer your question my son got a $40,000 grant for his freshman year. We only had to pay room and board

Send your daughter. The campus is beautiful. Hoping my daughter gets that letter today.
