Angel and moralis and others, where are you all located?

I’m from NJ

reporter, how did your son get that grant? im just curious because thats amazing!

We are in Oregon. Not expecting any need based aid, and from everything I have read, Lehigh does not offer too much merit aid. Good luck everyone. We will all know soon!

Is everyone who got this letter a minority?

I’m from DE.

And watermellen, I believe everyone is in someway diverse - racially, socioeconomically, religiously, etc. I was researching the Diversity Life Weekends in the past, and it said something on the lines of, “Everyone invited has a unique story to tell.”

I’m so excited!!! =D

Okay, I was just wondering. Thanks lorettamartin!

How many people do you guys think recieved the letter/attend the program? like a hundred or so?

@watermellen. Our D is not a minority, we are white. But I think the following factors are unique: believe it not, being from Oregon is a plus. Its an “under represented” state. Also, our D will be studying mechanical engineering, and most colleges these days are really looking to increase their women/minority populations in math/science fields. Lastly, she is the 2010 Oregon state solo bassoon champion! Only one of those!

I think when my son went it was about 100 kids approximately.

He had a 4.0 and we are not rich. It was a Lehigh grant.

It was a nice mix of kids.

If u receive the letter, does it mean that u have great chance to be accepted?

@Timxie - you are accepted

@reporter31: sure? I’m pretty excited now…thx

Lehigh gets a much higher yield from kids the are invited to Diversity Life Weekend than for Regular Decision Admissions - they must be doing something right.

My son was accepted and the diversity weekend is under the tab of accepted students

Any letters still coming in? My D is from Puerto Rico. Did they come regular mail? Letter or fat envelope? Hoping!!

Thin envelope.

is the diversity program for minority applicants only? i’m a white female from a middle class family in mass…

I know in past years, it has meant diversity in the truest sense of the word - do you have a special skill or talent?

So did the people who were selected in the past receive any good scholarships? Really what I’m asking is that is being selected a good indicator of potential scholarships?
