Diversity Open House Weekend

My D is off to Amherst at the end of Oct for the Diversity Open House Weekend. I’m just wondering how the experience was for those of you who went to the September open house. Did you go home sure that Amherst is the place for you? or sure that it’s not? No matter what you went home with, did you meet interesting people and have a great time?

i had a great time in sept. thought it was too short, but got to know lots of ppl, and got to know well the people from my state (CA). I see that you're from CA, so it's very probable that they put all CA people on same flight. I still keep in touch with them.

they have great interns working and socials were nice as well. Got to talk to polite down-to-earth students. Went to interesting classes.

One negative consensus was that school dining wasn't good. There's only one dining hall, and it doesn't have enough diversity (?) in food.
Lots of ppl said they were for sure applying ED, but many others also said they felt although the school was nice it was too small or not the right type. Me, i'm not applying ED, but if I'm admitted RD, i'd be more than happy to be there.
Good luck.
