Diversity Weekend

Hello all. Can anyone who went to the diversity weekend at ND last year or years prior comment on it? Is it fun? What do you do?

I'm not huge on "diversity" things, not my cup of tea, but since it's free and I'm from NY, I'm going.

It depends on which weekend you attend. I’m assuming you’re going to the next one, which is the largest of the three. Without question, that one is the most jam-packed. The first day, you will have a meet and greet followed by an informal welcome by the Admissions team. Other than that, you’ll have required activities such as lunch with Alums, sitting in on classes, or listening to student panels. Additionally, there will be optional events that usually take place at night, such as a fashion show, film series (with free food!) or a variety show. They’ll try to discourage you from going off campus, but that won’t stop most prospects from doing so…

I’m going to the one on 4/14-4/17…

Oh, I think that is the last one, at medium size of the three. Aside from the required activities, I can’t be too sure what they’ll offer you, but I know there is usually a skate party off-campus sponsored by a student group coincides with the visit. Theyre should also be a bonfire/ice cream social and movie series offered as well, but don’t hold me to it.

Is it at least fun? Hahaha. What I mean is basically, is it fun, or is it like some college visits where you just get lectured to death?

Well, I wasn’t invited to any of the visitations offered when I was a high school senior. However, my past prospects all said they had fun. Notwithstanding, if I had my way, there would be alot more freedom and flexibility…
