Diversity

Anyone know an easy class to take to fulfill the diversity requirement?

Looking for something really easy, preferrably online. Easy meaning I don't have to study much, practically gives out test questions / posts old tests, attendance not necessary, etc.

Di is taking the online version of THE2000 Theater Appreciation this semester. There are no tests, just weekly quizzes, discussion board posts and responses, and 3 plays to see and answer questions about and a course project. With 2 additional play extra credit opportunities, you can pretty much get an A. A good bit of busy work, but not terriblly time consuming.

sorry to jump in here, but i know that social geography (geo2410) is diversity and i was thinking about taking that, does anyone have any experience with that? is there a lot of work or is it easy at all?

I took Marriage and Family SYG 2430. Super easy. My prof took attendance occasionally through short in-class writing some days, but they only added up to 5% of your final grade (i.e. I was absent a lot :P). There were 3? easy tests (if you do the quizzes on the website that come with the textbook, you will probably see a lot of them on the test), a news article summary/discussion assignment, and some group work that is pretty easy as well. I took it with Koropeckyj-Cox, but I’ve heard there are other instructors that only have tests and might not take attendance. The material in the class is really easy though, so if you’re interested check it out if there are any spaces available.

Unfortunately there wasn’t any space left in anything! lol

And I couldn’t find an online section of THE2000, which I thought there was supposed to be. I’ll keep searching.

The web section of THE2000 does fill up but just keep checking and you should be able to snag a spot. Like anything else, people are adding and dropping things all the time, and you should be able to get what you want. Just don’t register for 15 or more hours, or you won’t be able to get into the system again for weeks.
