division 3 baseball

My son is a serious athlete who especially loves baseball, with a 3.6 GPA, now in 11th grade at a public suburban HS in the midwest. He's considering playing ball in college. My husband and I would prefer he attend a LAC. He's a smart kid, but not super academically driven. Any DIII ideas? Here are some preferences:
- in or near a good size city, preferably east coast; Boston is a favorite
- over 2000 students
- decent baseball
- strong academics tho not necessarily top tier
- ethnic diversity (he is hapa)

I think Tufts and Emory would be great, but reaches. What schools are like these without being quite so academically competitive? Or, do you think with good but not stellar stats he would get in for athletics?

Wooster, Wheaton (MA), Hopkins, TCNJ, Rhodes, WashU, Ursinus, Babson, Drew, Haverford, Macalester (kid from my school plays there), Denison, UMass-Boston, Carleton.

Greater Boston:

D3
Babson
Brandeis
Tufts
Wheaton

D2
Bentley
Stonehill

thanks for the suggestions
hadn't thought of TCNJ or Drew
we like Macalester, and also neighboring Hamline
son not drawn to rural campuses
actually looking at Occidental at the moment
UMass-Boston is DIII?
how religious does Wheaton feel?

Yes, it's D3

There are 2 Wheatons. The one in Illinois is the religious one. Massachusetts Wheaton is not even affiliated with any denomination.

Macalaster, WashU, Haverford, and Carleton are all pretty academically rigorous... As a recruited athlete, he'd have a shot at acceptance, but if he's not particularly "academically driven," those may not be the best places...
