My daughter is planning on taking CS101 (2nd semester of the new sequence) this fall, and she has a choice between Dixon and Brown for professors. Ratemyprofessor isn’t terribly informative, as both have similar middling ratings. Brown seems to have more quantity of feedback and it sounds like he is very NICE, which goes fairly far, so I’m leaning towards Brown in my advice to dd, but I thought I’d seek more feedback here if anyone has any input for her.
