<p>Hey everybody, I got back from Boston on Tuesday and visited NEU and BC. I took a bunch of photos that I thought I’d share with you, and at the end I’ll say a comment or two. Just doing my part to help every body interested in the colleges I visit a little bit</p>

<p>Comments:</p>

<ul>
<li><p>First I’m going to have to say that I was amazed at how beautiful the BC campus was. Seriously, that’s all I can really say. The inside too was awesome and nice looking. I’ll admit at first, I thought that the whole " gothic interior " would be a turn off but the truth is it has very little effect - everything is still extremely modern looking (which I like) but everything looks as if it’s rich with history as well so it’s pretty perfect. Their stadium is huge and great too. I was shocked. Everything made me speechless I was lost for words (i hope i can touch even a fraction of that in my pictures). The campus was just so fantastic. If I don’t end up going to a pharmacy school, I only wish my parents could gather up the money to send me to this school. </p></li>
<li><p>The surrounding area: not so great. It’s not actually in Boston, but in a somewhat bland and ugly suburban area. That I wasn’t too fond off. The T system goes directly to BC, but heed my warning. There are 27, back to back, stops between BC and the harbor (that’s kind of insane). It’s not a lot of distance to cover, but there are just so many frequent stops by the T that is makes the journey aboard the train much longer than it could have been. It has to stop for all the BU campuses too. So the journey into Boston, while easy, takes a little time. </p></li>
<li><p>All the students seemed really nice and down to earth. They talked a lot about giving back to your community because your so fortunate to have gone to college and to afford such an expensive one. I like stuff like that and volunteering is important to me. </p></li>
</ul>

<p>You took some great photos; thanks for sharing them with everyone here on CC. I think BC has one of the prettiest college campuses in the country.</p>

<p>I’d like to correct/comment on a couple of points: </p>

<ol>
<li>The eastern half of the main campus is indeed located in the City of Boston (the Allston-Brighton neighborhood), while the western half is in the town of Newton. The city line runs right through middle campus. That’s why BC needed to get approval from the City for its Institutional Master Plan (IMP). </li>
</ol>

<p>The Brighton campus (on the north side of Commonwealth Avenue, across the street from the main campus) is located entirely within the City. The Newton campus is – you guessed it! – entirely in Newton.</p>

<ol>
<li>Very few BC students would use the Green B line to go all the way to the harbor because, as you noted, there are far too many local stops and the travel time is too long. Instead, they would take the BC shuttle bus to Cleveland Circle and walk a block or two to the Reservoir station on the D line. That reduces the number of stops to the Kenmore station from 18 to just 6 and lops off at least 30 minutes of travel time. The D line has its own dedicated right-of-way so the trains can travel at higher speeds than they do on the B line, which operates in the street with all the car and truck traffic.</li>
</ol>

<p>thanks no problem. The shuttle bus to cleveland circle wasn’t running when i went because it’s the the summer, but yup most probably do that (i would anyway)</p>
