Do 10th grade marks really count in admissions in the US for Indian students?

I had a 9.2 cgpa in my 10th (my school was very strict and there was no grade inflation unlike most other schools and i slacked a bit)...however I bucked up,worked like hell and made up for it by scoring 96% in my 11th with full scores in physics,chemistry and maths and was also the class topper . So,my question is with my 11th grade marks,should i really consider my 10th grade marks as a major drawback or will they get overshadowed?

Your 10th grade marks will be considered.

US colleges require students to provide transcripts for grades 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.

These are not grades from your 10th grade or 12th grade exams but regular grades given to you throughout the school year.

@texaspg‌ so you mean that 10th grade and 11th grade marks are given equal importance?..and also does the fact that my marks have continually risen after 10th help with my application ( been in top 3 all through 11th halfyearlies,finals and 12th half yearlies,after being about top 10 in my class in 10th grade) ?

@skieurope‌ i know they will be…but would their worth be at par my 11th and 12th standard grades where the level of studies is much,much higher?

no point in doubting what @skieurope told you, OP. It’s the truth. Your grades will matter a little more each year, but each year will be considered in America.

@jkeil911‌ thats what i wanted to know…thanks
