Does anyone know if the UC Admissions use our cumulative GPA AFTER they receive the Fall 2011 final grades? Or do they base their decision off of our cumulative GPA BEFORE we get our Fall 2011 grades? Thanks!

They look at your grades AFTER Fall 2011. After your fall semester/quarter is over, you go to the UC Application Update website and enter your final grades for fall 2011. This updates your cumulative GPA.

Alright great, thanks!

Fall, Yes. Spring, No.

They will give you a provision on what GPA you have to get during Spring though. It is usually 3.0 I believe. If your Spring GPA is under that GPA, you will be rescinded.

Don’t use it as an excuse to put all your important pre-reqs during Spring though. It looks a lot better to have it a majority of your pre-reqs done and with good grades by Fall.

What about winter grades? Do we update those as well?

^ yes…aaaaa

@Ferrari Is that confirmed? You know that for a fact?

Believe it or not, it actually depends on when your winter session ends. If it’s too late, no. If it’s early enough, yes, you can get the grades in and update the app. You may have to call to get them to update if winter grades come out after your app update is due.

^ yes, next time use the search button. it’s useful.
