So in April, all juniors in the state of Illinois will be taking the PSAE. This is just a standard ACT test with a bunch of other assessments afterwards. The only reason this is a big concern is because the i have a conflict that I cannot get out it of the same day as the April 14th ACT date. I really wanted to take this test so my question is, will all colleges accept this Act score from the PSAE if I do really well or would i just have to wait until the June National ACT Date. I took it once before, got a bad score but at least I got a 10 on writing.

Sign up for June. My DD has a similar issue. She has a good score, but wants to take again. Since the April Illinois test will not have writing, I registered her for June.

In my daughter’s practice ACT class, the instructor told the kids that since there is no writing portion to the test through the high school in April, that they will not be able to send it out to colleges. My daughter is going to ask her counselor on Monday to clarify this. Luckily, we did sign her up for the test in June as well as the one on April 14th. However, she has a lot of friends that haven’t signed up to take any other test except the one through the high school. I would definitely sign up for the one in June.
