Do any kids get flat-out rejected?

<p>I'm talking Texas public HS kids. Does everyone who doesn't make it in get CAPped?</p>

<p>I'm trying to make sense of the Naviance info for ds's HS. It has a bunch of people being denied, but I'm wondering if by denied they really mean CAPped.</p>

<p>You have to qualify for the CAP campus (meet their minimum standards). So almost everyone is offered CAPs if not accepted.</p>

<p>That’s good to know. I’m sure there aren’t 50 kids in ds’s smallish, competitive HS who couldn’t meet that standard. I’m more hopeful now.</p>
