I can't think of any off the top of my head (I think Cal used to have one but it's discontinued now)....I know many colleges outside CA have co-ops where the students work in an engineering company and gain credit at the same time...so why haven't UCs implemented this system? Not only does this option provide students with valuable experience to get that first job, it's a good stepping stone into the real world where students actually get to apply their engineering knowledge to practical things, rather than just focusing on theory.

If you're willing to transfer to the East Coast, I go to Drexel University now and they have a reputable Engineering school with the biggest Co-op program in the country.
