I'm on UVA's wait-list currently...
I know they have a loooong wait-list, and there's actually nothing I can do to determine whether I'll get off or not.
But I do want to give it a shot, since UVA is my dream school. I want to do whatever I can to be outstanding, in that case I may have a little more chance to be admitted.
Do anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you very much!!!

Don’t quote me on this, but I vaguely remember reading that a school really begins caring about demonstrated interest when an applicant is put on the WL. I know UVA does NOT care about demonstrated interest, but I’m not sure this is the case for students on the WL.

RunXuan–are you an international student? If so, play that to your advantage. UVA is trying to attract more international students because they desire to become an institution known world-wide. Get in touch with the International Studies Office, or something…perhaps they can lend you a hand.

Yes, I’m a international student. Thank you very much for the advice!!
