Do AP classes count towards transfer units?

Question pretty much says it all. Took a few APs, wondering if that can count towards my 60 needed units.

yes, see 3rd pg: http://www.smc.edu/projects/26/igetc.pdf</a>. there should be an updated 2011-12 version coming soon if it isn’t already out.

It sure does. Thanks goodness for that!

Yes! I used them and so far, I got into all the UCs I applied for.
Here’s a good guide for the UCs:
[University of California - AP credits](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/counselors/ap-credits/index.html)
It shows you exactly how many quarter units you get for each test (divide by 1.5 to get semester units).
PM me, if you have any more questions about using AP credit.

you guys are amazing! I thought I was gonna be 1 unit short of transferring but I didn’t include my APs with that! Thank you soooo much!
