Do AP credits count towards UCI Major prereqs?

<p>I'm hoping to transfer to UC Irvine as a Business Admin. major. I got a 4 on my AP Statistics class in high school, so does this give me credit for my Statistics (Management 7) prerequisite?</p>

<p>The UCI website says:</p>

<p>Statistics</p>

<p>Score of 3, 4 or 5 earns 4 units subject credit for Statistics 7/Mathematics 7,
Social Ecology 13 or Management 7 </p>

<p>I'm confused on what "subject credit" means.</p>

<p>subject credit means, that you wont get actual credits towards graduation (u wont get 7 units on ur transcript) but it will show that u have completed the course. so say u need Management 7 as a prereq to some other class, well since u have subject credit in it, u wont have to take it.</p>
