Do AP scores count towards the completion of 60 units?

I am currently trying to transfer into UCI and I was wondering if my past AP scores will count towards the 60 semester units required to transfer. My AP score was a 3 for Environmental Science so that should be worth 4 quarter units (2.67 semester) according to UCI.

So say I am at 59 units without my AP score but when I count my AP score I am at 61.67. If I apply for transfer will I be rejected because I am at 59 units or will my AP score help me meet the requirement?

Yes, AP units count towards the 60 unit minimum for the UCs.

If you make an UC TAP (Transfer Admissions Planner) account and fill it out, it tells you how much credit you can get for your AP test. It also totals all of your transfer units and converts them into quarter units. I would suggest consulting that if you are still unsure.

You need to ask a UCI rep because when I asked them they said no, they don’t count for the 60 units requirement (you will get credit but not for those 60 units)
