<p>I think SAT scores are more ‘specific’ towards what you really got right, whereas AP scores represent very broad raw scores. For instance, getting 10 wrong on the SAT CR may be a 600, while getting 9 wrong may be a 620. On an AP, odds are, getting 9 or 10 wrong will be a 4 or 5 regardless. </p>
<p>So I’m sure if the APs were scored more specifically, you’d find a better correlation between the two.</p>
