do your ap scores really matter at ucla if you're not gonna transfer any credit? cuz my ap bio class is like a joke at my school and im gonna study on my own, but itll probably be hard for me to at least pass... so does it matter if im not gonna transfer any credit?

Ah..well for AP BIo it wont be used to place you in a higher class whereas AP calc be used to place you in a higher math class like math 31B or something like that

sup benedict

so basically... if i get a 1 on the ap bio test... it wont really matter?

well, it won't really matter if you're not going to transfer any credit.

but i'd think you'd want to transfer as much credit as you can, because you want to boost your class standing. registration for classes is done by class standing (seniors go first, then juniors, etc), so you'll want to bump yourself up to at least sophomore standing so you dont register last and get classes that you didnt really want to take. you'll be surprised how many people already have sophomore standing or are close to getting it. even if you have priority registration, you can only register 10 units, so for that one last class that you couldnt register with priority, youll want to make sure you register earlier so you can complete your schedule w/o hassle.

yea im also taking the ap english lit and ap calc ab test... so i might transfer credit from those.. and i also took ap euro and ap chem tests and i passed both of those so i could probably transfer credit from those

If the AP Test scores don't really matter for you, and you're not going to transfer any credit to UCLA, then why bother taking the test and spending $82.00 on each one?

How many credits of aps is sophomore standing?
So even if you're a few credits away from sophomore standing, you'll still register your classes at the same time as those in freshmen standing?

45 credits I believe gives you sophomore standing.
