I have a question- for UC Berkeley (as for all other UCs)- do we NOT need to submit high-school grades and transcripts and recommendation letters? As far as I can see, the whole thing is online and there’s no space for anything. All they ask about is the subjects you take, CCAs etc. etc. etc. PLEASE HELP OUT! The deadline’s 30th November! HELP! Thanks in advance! (:

Yes, that is correct.

You self-report your grades in the application, but the verification of those with a transcript is only done for admitted students that intend to attend. This cuts down the processing load to only the incoming class, not the much larger number of applicants. Same result - if you misrepresent your grades and are accepted, it would be rescinded once the transcript proved otherwise.

Teacher and counselor recommendations are not used for admissions for the vast majority of applicants. Some tiny fraction of the applicants are asked to provide supplemental information which includes reporting first semester senior year grads and providing one recommendation, but the recommendation is entered online by the teacher or counselor you select - no physical form is sent. Unless you are asked, there is no process to submit recommendation letters and they would be ignored if they were received.
