do asians go greek?

do they? or are they racially segregated and just hang out by country (like most other colleges)?

I'm speaking generally. I'm sure there are exceptions to everything.

Ok, I wasn’t going to post here because I am a parent… Absolutely Asians go Greek, and it is not just limited to “all Asian House” either. I really do not understand why Asians in the US going to a top tier school need to be segregated from main stream. I went to a small LAC 30 years ago with only a handful of Asians, we didn’t just hang out with each other. I think you are limiting yourself if you only socialize with your own kind, whether you are black, Jew, Chinese, Indian… When and if you show up at Cornell, break out of your comfort zone, get to know everyone, and if you are interested in the Greek life, by all means, rush. But don’t just look at all Asians house. My daughter is in a sorority and she is loving it.

Yes they do, and I am one of them. I am currently pledging an IFC frat (“white frats”). However, unfortunately the number of asians that go greek are very small compared to whites. Also, many asians that do go greek go for asian-focused greek organizations such as kappa phi lambda. So you could say there is some segregation.

yes. there are many asians in my sorority, and in other national panhellenic chapters here at cornell.

There are plenty of asians in the greek system. do what you feel comfortable doing though.

Like most diverse schools, there are the Asians who blend in and interact with others, and those who segregate themselves by country. At a school with so many Asians, you can’t stereotype them.
