Is there any point in starting the supplemental essays for Brown, or will they change? What are some colleges that have the same supplemental essays from year to year?
I think that you can’t go wrong if you start writing a “why Brown” essay, because the process of writing it will clarify your thoughts about the college and you will be able to refer back to it when you go for your interview. No matter how bizarre the prompts are, that’s what the colleges really want to know. Why do you want to go to their school, and what are you going to bring to the school that will make the class better?
Brown’s essays change (they were the same for decades, then admissions started fiddling with them every couple years). i would not assume that next year’s essays will be the same as this year’s.
