Wow… Thanks Xepa.

I am thinking about majoring in finance. but I also kinda wanna study either japanese or international business. which one would be better for me?

also i kinda heard from somewhere that iu is a party school. even though im not a nerd or anything, i would kinda like to study and play sports rather than drinking and partying all day. do you think i can still make friends and get involved??

also i am from a big city, so i am not used to living in a small city like bloomington. but i will bring my car… i don’t know where u r from, but if you are from a big city please tell me about your expierence in bloomington…

thanks! happy easter!

There are clubs for everything if you want to get involved.

My son isn’t into drinking and partying all that much, either. But then, even though he was captain of the sailing team at his high school, he wasn’t into bodybuilding and stuff either, so when he got to Indiana Univ, he signed up for the flag football intermural teams. They met twice a week for the first nine weeks or something and played each other.

It was a good way to meet people–and a good way to spend time not drinking and partying all night long with some crazies. (He spent his days in classes and playing football and his nights either studying or watching NFL football on Monday and Thursday nights.)

P.S. There are lots and lots of different types of clubs. I think IU-B lists 400 or so clubs in their directory–everything from salsa dancing to political organizations to greek fraternities to non-profit organizations that help out Bloomington charity organizations. My son’s girlfriend was active in one of these–which was actually how they met.

If you like sports, please show up for the first ultimate frisbee practice of the year in September. We practice 3 times a week in the fall, workout/practice 3 times a week in the winter, and practice 4 times a week in the spring. The people are amazing (most unique people you will ever meet), we are all very close knit (ultimate players usually hang out with each other and live with each other once they get out of the dorms). We travel to tournaments a lot (went to Mardi Gras for a tournament in February, we were in St. Louis last weekend). Also, if you are thinking about business, about half our players are in the business school and we help each other out with homework and stuff. If you have any questions or would like to see what a practice is like, let me know (maxellis@indiana.edu). The best decision I’ve made this year was to be a HoosierMama? (the name of our men’s ultimate team).

maxellis. Thanks for the invitation. I will definitely consider joining the group once I get there. I hope you have a good Easter.

Take Graham for Math 119 Calc - his class and exams are WAYYYYYYYY easier than the other three who taught it for my semester. His exams are exactly like his practice exam with different numbers haha. He is REALLY boring but I’ll take that and an easy A over interesting and difficult for a 100 level class any day.

Nice. But I hear many people saying that going to George Washington would provide me better internship opporunities. But one kid from IU told me there would be no differnece, cuz companies come to IU for internships. Do you think location really matters even if I am going to do internship during the summer?
